Why a DBA Needs to Know PowerShell

SQL Server and the data landscape is getting more complex, and we are asked to manage ever more servers, databases, and environments.  In addition, we need to manage on-prem, cloud and container-based implementations.  The traditional way to manage SQL Server has primarily been via T-SQL and graphical interfaces such as SSMS.  These methods are not adequate to fulfill the ever-growing expectations placed on the DBA.  This is where PowerShell comes in.  PowerShell, along with the PowerShell module DBATOOLS can turn the average DBA into a DBA Rockstar.  In this presentation, I will show you why and how you can get started using it for serious DBA tasks.
