A Practical Guide to R

R is a wonderful thing for people that work in a multi-dimensional data space. It is possible to do almost anything with R in the mathematical way. In addition, you can make connections to practically any data source, manipulate all data types, run almost every known analytical model, and make any graph.

It doesn't mean that you should use R for all of that. There are some things about hte programming language that database professionals should know and ther is likely to be some comments that data scientists are weird. Get ready to dive in and walk through some demos with Jim and discover the magic which is R!

Jim Eynon :

Owner/Operator Dark Corner Analytics

Jim Eynon is no newby, he has been goofing around in the multivariate data space since sometime in the mid 1990s. He would really like to be a Data Scientist, but he is primarily a Decision Scientist who excels at helping organizations figure out what the numbers mean. Jim's never been above using Machine Learning, Staistical Learning, normal statistics, and regular old sorting and reporting to encourage fact based choices. With a toolbox full of experience, a passion for sharing and learning you are bound to learn something in this new session.
